A Perfect Day in Stockholm

Morning: After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, I would stroll or take the bus out to Djurgården and a take a nice walk around the eastern parts of the island. Here you will find beautiful buildings, open peaceful landscape and perhaps meet someone who is horse riding along the water.
Lunch: For lunch, take a walk up to Östermalms Saluhall that is located not far from Djurgården. This historical building from the 18th century holds about 20 stalls, restaurants and cafes. From first-class ingredients, ready-made meals and deli goods to tea, coffee and chocolates this market offers something for everyone.
Afternoon: After lunch take the subway from Östermalm to Mariatorget located on SÖdermalm. Here you can visit some of the nice second hand shops, art galleries and small antique shops. Depending on time and effort it is always nice to walk down the charming street called Bellmansgatan and take a look over Stockholm waterways and the City Hall. End the afternoon by taking a cold drink at the little bar called Bishop Arms located on Bellmansgatan.
Evening: Enjoy a first class fish course at the hotel's restaurant, Stockholm Fisk or go to the restaurant Grill Ruby located on Österlånggatan in the Old Town. Here you can choose from grilled meat or fish dishes and your own side dish.
Night: Take a taxi to Kronobergsgatan 37 and go through the entrance, walk up 2 stairs and find Stockholm's most hidden restaurant and bar called Allmänna Galleriet 925 (translation: The Public Gallery). This bar, as per its name, houses nice art on the walls and an interior design influenced from New York and gives you a down to earth atmosphere. (Closed during summer) During summer I often spend time on the boat M/S Gerdas that is docked at Norr Mälarstrand on Kungsholmen. This restaurant and bar offers a nice relaxed and "easy to chat friendly" atmosphere with a focus on details. Just order a bottle of wine and get a cute little bag with ice that will keep the wine cool!
